Când au colici, bebeluşii devin irascibili, plâng foarte mult şi au somnul agitat. Din cauza durerilor de burtică, aceştia îşi strâng genunchii la piept şi îşi freacă picioruşele. Pentru tratarea colicilor, există o gamă foarte variată de produse, însă, în foarte multe cazuri, acestea nu au niciun efect.

Potrivit medicilor specialişti, mamele care alăptează trebuie să se alimenteze corespunzător pentru a produce lapte. Totodată, acestea trebuie să fie atente la produsele pe care le consumă, deoarece unele alimente pot influenţa negativ calitatea laptelui matern. Pentru a produce un lapte cât mai nutritiv, mamele trebuie să consume multe lactate, ouă, carne de pui şi vită, legume şi fructe, ceaiuri, compoturi şi sucuri.

„S-a stabilit o legătură între consumul de crudităţi şi prezenţa colicilor la sugar, falsă, de altfel, deoarece nu s-a demonstrat o legătură reală între aceste elemente. Aşadar, se recomandă consumul legumelor şi fructelor crude sub formă de salate şi sucuri. Produsele nerecomandate sunt: alcoolul, prăjelile, afumăturile, mezelurile, băuturile acidulate, excesul de sare”, a declarat dr. Teodora Bucur, medic pediatru.
