Când este gata, lintea se lasă să se răcească în apa în care a fiert. Apoi se scoate lintea, se scurge de zeamă, se pune într-o salatieră, adăugându-se ceapa rămasă, tăiată mărunt, bucățelele de carne afumată, oțet, ulei, sare și piper, după gust.
