single bet calculator
So — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I'd write something up since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I'd just guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I'm on daily — type in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you want a look, it lives at kelly staking calculator — free, no signup.
What really made a difference was the more serious extras. They've got an odds-to-probability calculator that shows what margin's baked in, plus a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I'm spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its layout is pretty plain — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. On my phone it works although the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there's no app, it's browser only — doesn't bother me but you asked.
Right, that's me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If you honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
